Course Reserves
Instructors are encouraged to put items on reserve in order to ensure access for all students. You may curate a collection of instructional items to supplement classroom learning using the Library Course Reserves. Reserve items are available for students to use for limited periods of time inside the walls of the Kistler library. Personal copies of materials are accepted for reserve. Barcodes, labels, and security stickers will be affixed to items.
All Reserve Items will be removed and returned at the end of each semester.
In addition to the traditional physical course reserves kept at the Information Desk, WorldCat Discovery contains a Course Reserves module that can be used to share lists of stable, authenticated links to Library materials. Because our Discovery search is tied to WorldCat, Course Reserves lists can even include materials available beyond Kistler Library (in these instances, students could use the Discovery Course Reserves link to request an item through ILL). Finally, “Temporary Materials” such as websites and PDF links can be added to a Course Reserves list.
