Pomodoro Technique

 

PicturePomodoro is the Italian word for tomato. The technique is named after the 25-minute tomato shaped kitchen timer that the creator of the technique used to develop it. 

  1. Choose a task 

  1. Set a timer to 25 minutes 

  1. Work on the task until the timer rings 

  1. Put a check on your sheet of paper to signify one Pomodoro complete 

  1. Take a short break (Start with 5 minutes) 

  1. Come back to the same task or start a new one 

  1. Every 4 Pomodoros, take a longer break 

Be gentle with yourself: you will develop a conscious relationship with Time. 

Turn time into an ally: use time as a factor to improve individual and team productivity.
